Hard Freeze Warning Issued for the Houston Region
Thursday, Jan. 7, 2 pm
The National Weather Service has issued a hard freeze warning in effect from 9 pm today, Thursday, January 7, through 9 am Sunday. A wind advisory remains in effect from 6 am to 6 pm today.
A hard freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are likely. You should take precautionary measures to prepare for extended freezing temperature from late Thursday afternoon through Sunday morning.
Currently the Houston Tower is expected to maintain normal business operations throughout this period.
At this time, while no disruption to business operations is expected, Houston employees are advised to periodically check local weather reports, as well as the employee information lines at 713-296-4498 (or 1-800-592-0296) and www.MarathonCares.com, for any updates.
